Overview
Shaded collects the information needed to run language-learning accounts, save progress, personalize practice, provide support, and operate our website and apps.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as email address, display name, authentication method, and account status.
- Learning activity, such as answers, mistakes, concept history, settings, goals, and progress.
- Device and app information, such as platform, app version, notification token, browser user agent, and diagnostic logs.
- Website attribution data, such as landing page, referrer, campaign parameters, anonymous visitor ID, and anonymous session ID.
- Limited purchase or app-store metadata when subscriptions or purchases are available. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes.
How we use information
- To provide Shaded, keep your account working, and sync progress across surfaces.
- To choose practice, review timing, difficulty, feedback, and reminders.
- To respond to support, privacy, safety, and account requests.
- To understand app and website performance, diagnose service issues, and protect against abuse.
- To measure which campaigns or links bring people to Shaded.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers for hosting, analytics, authentication, notifications, app distribution, support, and payments. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, Shaded, or the public.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting privacy@shaded.app. You can also use the account deletion instructions on the delete account page.
